How we began our own journey…

Infra-Link Planning has two founding directors who lead the consultancy. They have access to extensive multi-disciplinary contacts built up over many years to call in other trusted professionals as necessary.

We are a professional independent planning, development and socio-economics consultancy with a personal touch.

Our Founders

Faraz

Director

Dr Faraz Latif is a founding director of Infra-Link Planning.

He has over fifteen years experience in Planning across the public and private sector. Faraz has held senior/management roles at several local authorities and also in multidisciplinary consultancies.

He has extensive experience of managing the preparation of Local Plans including leading the planning processes for new garden towns and villages, alongside undertaking development management responsibilities. In the private sector, he has prepared applications and supporting evidence for commercial, residential and mixed-use development schemes. Faraz’s practice also has a focus on infrastructure delivery planning and socio-economics.

He holds a PhD in Planning awarded by the University of Liverpool and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Manchester. Outside of work, he enjoys running, following football and Formula 1.

Angie

Director

Angie Matthews is a founding director of Infra-Link Planning.

She has an extensive local government background having gained experience in development management, planning policy, enforcement and heritage, spanning 23 years, combined with previous roles within the private planning sector.

This experience provided full appreciation of the complexities of the planning journey on the individuals embarking on it and on all those involved in the process, highlighting the importance of working with a trusted planning consultant that is open, transparent and pragmatic, building up rapport and lasting relationships and providing support through the ups and downs of the journey.

Angie studied Countryside Planning at degree level and went on to undertake a Masters degree in Spatial Planning and is a fully chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
